Contains the narrative of Jean Ribault’s trip to Florida in 1562; the narrative of René de Goulaine de Laudonnière’s trip and of his time spent in Caroline fort between 1564 and 1565; the narrative of Jean Ribault’s arrival in august 1565, the seizure by the Spanish of the french fort, and of the return of de Laudonnière to France (once Ribault dead) during the autumn of the same year.
